Barquisimeto, January 2026.—The Venemergencia Group participated in the activities honoring the Divina Pastora, reaffirming its commitment to health, well-being, and the traditions that unite Venezuelans through a medical outreach program conducted before and during the traditional procession in the city of Barquisimeto.
Venemergencia Medical Operation During Activities in Honor of the Divina Pastora
In the days leading up to the procession, the Venemergencia team participated in the religious events at the Divina Pastora Shrine in the community of Santa Rosa, where it provided preventive and emergency medical care to the devotees who took part in the pre-procession activities. Likewise, the organization looked after the health of participants in the golf tournament in honor of the Divina Pastora at the Barquisimeto Golf Club. Similarly, it supported the 5K and 10K races, ensuring timely care for the runners.
This operation reinforces Venemergencia’s commitment to the people of Lara and builds on other initiatives, such as the recent installation of an automated external defibrillator (AED) near the Divina Pastora Shrine, as part of the Venemergencia Foundation’s Public Access Defibrillation Program. The medical deployment during the procession allowed for a strengthened emergency response capacity and demonstrated the practical impact of this preventive initiative in an area with a high concentration of people.
On the day of the procession, Venemergencia, from its Urgent Care headquarters on Lara Avenue, brought medical care to the streets by setting up a medical station. In this way, it provided continuous support to the thousands of faithful who walked alongside the image of the Divina Pastora.
As a result of this deployment, Venemergencia treated 75 patients over the three days of the operation, with no major incidents reported. This positive outcome also highlights the excellent organization, planning, and safety conditions that characterized the activities held in honor of the Divina Pastora.
Timely care and a commitment to the health of Venezuelans
For Dr. Andrés Simón González – Silén, Founding Partner and Executive Director of Venemergencia, participating in this expression of faith represents an experience of profound human and social value: “Participating in the Divine Shepherdess procession is a privilege and a great responsibility. Being able to serve and care for the health of thousands of people, from the days leading up to the main event, reminds us of the importance of being present in the lives of Venezuelans. This event not only reinforces our commitment to medical care but also to the community and the traditions that unite us as a country,” he emphasized.
Finally, Grupo Venemergencia’s participation in this important expression of faith is part of its social commitment and its dedication to service, supporting communities at large-scale events of cultural significance, where prevention and timely medical care are essential.
