Venemergencia: 20 Years of a Disruptive Healthcare System with Social Impact

Caracas, November 27, 2025.– Venemergencia presented the book: “Venemergencia: 20 Years of a Disruptive Healthcare System with Social Impact,” written by Rafael Arráiz Lucca and Guadalupe Burelli. The book documents the history, evolution, and contributions of the company to the strengthening of the private healthcare system in Venezuela, highlighting its commitment to innovation, timely care, and access to quality medical services.

Through a combination of testimonial and investigative narrative, the book reconstructs the major milestones that have marked Venemergencia’s growth, incorporating elements of contextual analysis that reflect the complexities of the Venezuelan environment and the purpose that has guided the organization to continue working to expand access to healthcare for Venezuelans.

The book features a foreword by Gustavo Roosen, a lawyer, Venezuelan businessman, and president of the Institute of Higher Studies in Administration (IESA), who offers reflections on leadership, innovation, and social impact as fundamental pillars for building sustainable organizations.

The content includes testimonials from the founders, Dr. Andrés Simón González-Silén and Dr. Luis Enrique Velásquez Díaz, as well as contributions from key stakeholders who have supported the organization’s development. Notable interviewees include: David Galavis, deputy director of Venemergencia; Roger Swidorowicz, a strategic partner during a key phase of expansion; Mónica Suárez, director of operations at Venemergencia; and Nunzia Auletta, Academic Director of IESA, who serves as an academic reference and presents Venemergencia as a management case study.

The book is presented as an exercise in institutional memory that demonstrates that social impact in the health sector, embraced as an organizational mission, can be managed productively, sustainably, and with a long-term focus.

With this launch, Venemergencia reaffirms its commitment to continue providing Venezuelans with greater access to reliable healthcare services delivered with compassion, driving innovative solutions and fostering strategic partnerships that contribute to the well-being of the Venezuelan population.
