A leading primary care provider expands its national presence
Venemergencia, a leading primary care provider in Venezuela, opened its second urgent care center in the city of Valencia, at the Concepto La Viña Shopping Center.
The first Urgent Care location opened in Caracas in August 2023, and as of June 2024, it has treated more than 6,500 patients, with a Net Promoter Score (NPS) of 96%. The wait time for care from arrival is less than 10 minutes, and the total stay is less than 2.5 hours. Additionally, they have managed to reduce the average cost of emergency care by a factor of five (x5). This is an effective and fast healthcare option available to policyholders of the country’s leading insurance companies.
Dr. Andrés Simón González-Silén, CEO of Venemergencia, described the work of this 100% Venezuelan company in the healthcare sector as a testament to the fact that “nothing extraordinary is achieved alone; we have been building solutions together for 20 years now, with the exceptional team and trusted partners, to provide Venezuelans with reliable healthcare options, with a human-centered approach and social impact.”
For his part, Dr. Luis Enrique Velásquez, Director of Operations at Venemergencia, noted that 25% of the cases treated at Urgent Care Caracas were trauma-related, followed by acute viral syndrome and lower respiratory infections, and specified that 92% of the cases treated were resolved without needing referral to a hospital ER. “This is more than a business model; it is the realization of our purpose: greater and better access to healthcare for Venezuelans. Giving this option to the people of Valencia fills us with pride,” said Velásquez.
During the event, Venemergencia welcomed María Laura García, a journalist specializing in health coverage, not merely as a brand ambassador, but as an ally to continue building this transformative project for Venezuela’s healthcare model together. “I feel honored to be part of this team because Venemergencia has brought us closer to a more humane, precise, timely, and affordable approach to addressing medical emergencies. When it comes to health, quality is non-negotiable,” said the journalist.
The next Venemergencia Urgent Care locations will open on July 12 in La Candelaria, Caracas, followed by locations in Lechería, Anzoátegui State; Maracaibo, Zulia State; Maracay, Aragua State; and Barquisimeto, Lara State.
