Policlínica El Retiro Joins Venemergencia’s Urgent Care Partner Network

San Antonio de los Altos, October 10, 2025.—With the goal of providing timely, reliable, and accessible medical care to all Venezuelans, Venemergencia officially announced the expansion of its national reach with the addition of Policlínica El Retiro, located in San Antonio de los Altos, to its Urgent Care Partner Network. The first clinics to take the lead in implementing this innovative model were the La Fe Surgical Medical Center in Pampatar and the Juan Griego Clinic, both on Margarita Island in Nueva Esparta state, and the Federico Ozanam Medical Care Center, located in Guatire.

This partnership with Policlínica El Retiro means that patients with health insurance who require emergency care will now be evaluated using the same protocol as Venemergencia’s Urgent Care facilities, thereby reducing care costs and improving service quality through a cost-effective model. “We are happy, proud, and honored to be the clinic selected to establish this partnership in the Altos Mirandinos region and to continue offering quality services, now in collaboration with Venemergencia and Urgent Care,” said Dr. George Hanoush, an obstetrician-gynecologist and one of the founders of Policlínica El Retiro.

Through this partnership, Urgent Care and its partner clinics guarantee a comprehensive medical experience, with rapid response times and a patient-centered approach. “This is not just an announcement. It is a reality that begins today and will continue to grow in every region of the country. Our goal is clear: to be where we are needed most, bringing reliable healthcare solutions to more Venezuelans,” said Dr. Andrés Simón González – Silén, Executive Director of Venemergencia Urgent Care.

Currently, Venemergencia operates seven facilities that provide emergency medical care through the country’s major insurance providers: two in Caracas and one in each of the following cities: Valencia, Lechería, Maracaibo, Barquisimeto, and Maracay, which opened its doors in September. Strategic partnerships like the one established with Policlínica El Retiro demonstrate that there are ways to provide excellent healthcare services by implementing protocols designed to achieve true cost efficiency in the country.

Dr. González-Silén announced that this network of partners will continue to strengthen and expand throughout Venezuela. In this regard, the next cities where these partnerships will be established are: Puerto Ordaz, Acarigua, and San Cristóbal.
