The partnership that provides professional emotional support to Venezuelans via WhatsApp will remain active. In addition, in collaboration with the Venemergencia Foundation, in-person courses on basic life support and psychological first aid are being offered in various communities within the municipality of Chacao.

Caracas, August 7.—Due to the excellent response and ongoing commitment to the well-being of the public, Grupo Venemergencia, together with Psicodata at UCAB, announces that the free telepsychology service will be extended through September. This initiative allows anyone to access free, immediate, and confidential counseling with certified psychologists via WhatsApp by messaging the number 0422 035 1828 to receive emotional support and practical tools for dealing with stressful or vulnerable situations.

Since its launch, this joint effort has reflected our comprehensive vision of caring for the health of Venezuelans in all its dimensions, always supported by the best technology.

Father Danny Socorro, director of the UCAB School of Psychology, highlighted the importance of maintaining this support service: “An earthquake destroys structures in seconds, but human psychology cannot be rebuilt with a single call. Extending the telepsychology program through September allows us to intervene early to prevent trauma from solidifying into chronic post-traumatic stress, bringing care closer to—and making it more accessible to—those who need it most. It’s a way of telling people: you are not alone, your pain matters, and there is a country willing to accompany you in your physical, psychological, and spiritual recovery.”

Impact on Communities

Furthermore, as part of the evolution of our social work and the scope of this partnership, the Venemergencia Foundation, in collaboration with Psicodata, has taken the initiative beyond the virtual environment. We are currently offering introductory courses on basic life support and psychological first aid in various communities within the municipality of Chacao.

In this way, the in-person training sessions aim to equip citizens with practical tools and fundamental knowledge to respond promptly to medical emergencies and emotional crises, promoting resilience, prevention, and self-care from the grassroots level of our communities.

With the extension of telepsychology services through September and the rollout of these training workshops, we at Grupo Venemergencia reaffirm our commitment to being a reliable partner where we’re needed most, integrating physical health, mental well-being, and preventive education as fundamental pillars for the development of our society.
