Venemergencia Opens Venezuela’s Seventh Urgent Care Center in Maracay

Maracay, September 23, 2025.—Venemergencia, a leading primary healthcare provider in Venezuela, opened its seventh Urgent Care center, this time in the city of Maracay, where Venemergencia’s local operational headquarters is also located.

The first Urgent Care location opened in Caracas in August 2023, and as of the end of August 2025, the six locations have treated more than 50,000 people, with a satisfaction rate measured by NPS of 97%. The wait time for care from arrival is less than 10 minutes, and the total stay is less than 2.5 hours. They already have two Urgent Care locations in Caracas (Torre Xerox and La Candelaria), one at the Concepto La Viña shopping center in Valencia, and others in Lechería, Maracaibo, and Barquisimeto.

Additionally, they have managed to reduce the average cost of emergency care by a factor of three (x3). This is an effective and rapid healthcare option available to members of the country’s leading insurance companies, making Venemergencia a reliable and robust partner that ensures the smooth operation of the healthcare system based on a value-based care model.

Dr. Andrés Simón González Silén, CEO of Venemergencia, stated that “we are not only opening a new location; we are consolidating a vision: that of a country where access to reliable healthcare is a reality. Today we are completing the first phase of the expansion of our Urgent Care model. And we have already taken firm steps toward consolidating our network of partners by launching operations in Margarita and Guatire, with Puerto Ordaz, Acarigua, San Antonio de Los Altos, and San Cristóbal to follow soon. This year we will finalize 20 partnerships under this model,” he emphasized.

For his part, Dr. Luis Enrique Velásquez, Director of Operations at Venemergencia, noted that 25% of the cases treated in Urgent Care facilities have been trauma-related, followed by acute viral syndrome and lower respiratory infections, and specified that 92% of the cases treated were resolved without needing referral to a hospital ER. "This is more than a business model; it is the realization of our purpose: to provide more and better access to healthcare for Venezuelans. Giving this option to the residents of Maracay and nearby towns fills us with pride."

Strengthening Partnerships

Dr. González Silén emphasized that with the opening of Urgent Care Maracay, “Venemergencia is establishing itself as a trendsetting company in the sector; our actions demonstrate our purpose, and we are paving the way as a model for the country. Having seven locations that positively impact patients’ quality of life and help contain costs for our clients demonstrates that the value-based healthcare model works, makes care more compassionate, and is capable of expanding without limits.” This location strengthens Venemergencia’s partnership with Proyecto Remo to promote reading in the Dr. José María Vargas micro-libraries through the “take a book, bring a book” initiative, which enhances the experience of those visiting Urgent Care, fosters a love of reading, and builds a network of community and trust.
