Venemergencia reaffirms its commitment to healthcare at the 6th Venezuela 2025 Sustainability Forum

Caracas, November 18, 2025.Venemergencia participated in the “Health Partnerships” panel at the 6th Venezuela 2025 Sustainability Forum, an event organized by the United Nations System and held at the headquarters of the Institute of Higher Studies in Administration (IESA). This forum brought together public, private, and multilateral actors with the aim of strengthening cooperation around the country’s sustainable development.

The panel was moderated by Dr. Armando De Negri, representative of the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO/WHO) in Venezuela, and featured representatives from the companies Biotecfar, Agrobiotechs, and Venemergencia, who shared experiences and opportunities for collaboration to improve health in Venezuela.

Speaking on behalf of Venemergencia, Dr. Andrés Simón González-Silén, founding partner and Executive Director, noted that “when it comes to health, we must think in terms of partnerships rather than competition; health transcends the debate between the public and private sectors.” He also highlighted the importance of working together with government institutions, academic institutions, and multilateral organizations to promote sustainable models of primary care, technological innovation, and emergency response.

The panel also provided insights into the perspectives of other organizations in the sector: Miguel Ángel López, president of Biotecfar, the country’s sole producer of antivenom serums, highlighted the need to expand production capacity and access new markets. For his part, Antonio Velazco of Agrobiotechs shared the benefits generated by his company’s cooperation with universities and public entities in developing biological products that act as antagonists against pathogenic microorganisms that damage crops.

A space to promote sustainable cooperation

The 6th Sustainability Forum addressed three main themes: Women, Youth, and Finance, promoting discussions on equity, employability, and the role of the private sector in social transformation. Regulatory advancements were also presented, such as the new Covenin standard, aimed at ensuring more inclusive work environments aligned with international standards.

Venemergencia’s participation in this forum reaffirms its conviction that inter-institutional collaboration is a key element in strengthening the healthcare system. Continuing to foster strategic partnerships like those Venemergencia has developed in recent years will expand access to healthcare services, promote innovation, and contribute to a country with greater opportunities for well-being for all.
