Our Reach and Nature of the Data: VENEMERGENCIA collects and processes personal data (email address, phone number, date of birth, gender, ID number, demographic information (user location), and health information (medical records, diagnoses, prescriptions, diagnostic images, and biometrics) for the purpose of providing and improving telemedicine services. The primary purpose of the health data collected is to assist the user in making clinical decisions and to provide care in emergency or first aid situations. By using the portal or downloading the app, the user accepts these terms.

     

    All information related to users’ present, past, or future health is considered private and confidential; therefore, VENEMERGENCIA undertakes not to sell, license, or share it outside of VENEMERGENCIA and its affiliated entities (an affiliated entity is defined as one that controls 50% or more of its shareholding). 

 

  1. Regarding the source of data collection: VENEMERGENCIA obtains user data through information shared by its clients, namely insurance companies. The data shared by these clients is securely maintained by VENEMERGENCIA as long as those insurance companies provide services to their beneficiaries. Your personal data and medical information will be safeguarded in VENEMERGENCIA’s database in accordance with the standards required by applicable law for this purpose. 

 

  1. Data Security Standards: VENEMERGENCIA implements technical and organizational measures to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of the information. In this regard, this information is accessible only to authorized personnel, all in accordance with applicable law. 

 

  1. Use of Information: Health data will not be sold, rented, or used for advertising purposes under any circumstances. Health data may be shared with affiliated entities (an affiliated entity is defined as one that controls 50% or more of the equity interest).   

 

  1. Device Permissions: For telemedicine to function, the app requires access to the device’s camera and microphone. These peripherals are only activated during the ongoing medical consultation and do not record information in the background.

 

  1. Data Retention and Deletion: Data will be retained only for as long as necessary to fulfill the medical purpose and comply with applicable legal retention periods. All users have the right to request the permanent deletion of their account and personal data from VENEMERGENCIA’s systems via email: info@venemergencia.com  

 

  1. Data Subject Rights: The user retains the right to access, rectify, restrict, transfer, and object to the processing of their personal data at all times.
