Public Access Defibrillators (PAD)

Join the Heart-Safe Zones program in Venezuela by using accessible, safe, and easy-to-use defibrillators

A defibrillator can mean the difference between life and death

Why Public Access Defibrillation (PAD)?

Every year, more than 2 million people die in the Americas from cardiovascular disease. In the event of cardiac arrest, every minute without a defibrillator reduces the chances of survival by 10% to 12%. With a public-access defibrillator, the response can be immediate and effective.

We are pioneers in the development of heart-safe zones in Venezuela

At Fundación Venemergencia, we are pioneers in the installation and management of cardiac-safe zones using automated external defibrillators.

We operate based on three key pillars:

Installation of defibrillators (AEDs): We equip public and private spaces with reliable technology.

Active monitoring: We verify the operation of each defibrillator and coordinate immediate responses.

Community training: We train people to act as first responders in cardiac emergencies.

They are easy and safe to use

1

Make sure the situation is
safe for both you and the patient.

2

Check for a pulse by gently pressing on the neck next to the windpipe.

3

If there is NO pulse, get the AED and begin cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) by performing 120 compressions per minute for 2 minutes.

4

Turn on the AED and follow the instructions.

5

Prepare the patient. Remove
the patient's upper-body clothing and make sure the skin
is clean and dry.

6

Apply the patches firmly

Adults: LL patch (sternum): below the left nipple, on the left
anterior axillary line RA patch (Apex): below the right clavicle, next to the sternum.

7

Apply the patches firmly

Children: Blue patch (Apex):
on the center line of the chest.
Red patch: on the center
line of the back.

8

When the AED prompts you,
press the shock button, making sure no one
is touching the victim.

9

After the accident, continue CPR and follow the AED’s instructions until help arrives or the victim’s pulse returns.

Benefits and reasons to have it in your company

Rapid response to emergencies:

Automated External Defibrillators increase the survival rate in cases of cardiac arrest from 20% to 80%.

Safety and peace of mind:

Protecting your employees and visitors demonstrates a commitment to their well-being.

Easy to use:

Defibrillators are designed to be used by anyone after a brief training session led by our experts.

Comply with regulations and save lives
